Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has set aside a special court order directing an inquiry into alleged irregularities concerning a civic amenity site allotted in Bengaluru to Siddhartha Vihar Trust, which is associated with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's family.

The High Court focused on procedural requirements under the BNSS and allowed the complainant an opportunity to correct the affidavit and proceed in accordance with law.

The court did not rule on the merits of the allegations. Any future decision on an investigation must follow the statutory process.
