Opinion: Tumakuru needs a skills map, not another seminar
Solar in Pavagada, industry in Kunigal, farms in Tiptur — the district still lacks one skills plan.
Every election cycle repeats a jobs promise. Tumakuru still has no public map of which taluk lacks which skill.
Pavagada needs maintenance technicians, Tiptur needs food-processing hands, the city needs health technicians. One list could rewrite ITI and polytechnic intake.
The district should publish an annual skills report. That is not politics. It is basic public information.
